남북 기린대로에서 반촌1길로 살짝 들어선다. 일순 놀랍도록 고요해진다. 새북인 걸 감안해도 대체 이 곳이 대한민국 전주 한가운데가 맞나 싶을 정도다. 60~70년대풍의 2층 양옥집-백서장댁-이 장승마냥 골목초입을 호위하고 있다. 붉은 벽돌에 나무창틀을 보니 그 시절 전형적인 문화주택이다. 마당에는 감나무 한그루가 식재되어 있다. 대지는 대략 90평이다. 스레이트 창고도 세월에 고태미가 흐른다. 오도바이 야삿대는 물론이요, 티코 석대도 거뜬히 댈 수 있을 정도로 길쭉한 창고다. 10여년 전 백서장이 가시고 반 년 전 아내도 가신 터라 현재는 빈집이다. 건물가격은 없고 부지가격만 평당 300만원 초반대니 실거래라면 얼추 3억 정도다. 한 번 저질러 볼까, 일견 솔깃하지만 상상으로 족하다. 월세로라도 타전해 볼까, 아녀 그럴리 없것지, 틈틈히 걷는 것만으로 행복한 골목이다.
At birth, we board a train and meet our parents, and we believe they always travel with us. However, at some station our parents will step off the train leaving us on our own to continue the journey. As time goes by other people board the train. They will be significant in our lives. our siblings. friends, children. and even the love of our life.
Many people will step down and leave a void. Others will be so inconspicuous that we hardly realize they have vacated their seats. Our journey on this train will be filled with joy, sorrow, dreams, hellos, and goodbyes. We don’t know at which station we ourselves disembark. So let’s live happily. Love and forgive. It’s crucial. Because when it’s time for us to step off, we should leave behind beautiful memories for those continuing their journey. Let’s content with what we have. And thanks God for this incredible journey. And thank you for being a passenger on our train.
